It’s about time…

By Rev. Mary Schneider

This new organization is something we have all been waiting for – for a long time. I am thrilled to have a venue where we can share our ideas and be heard. It is important in this climate of alternative and complementary methodologies to have one site to come together. Even though we represent various capacities and modalities, we do have similar viewpoints in many areas. We also have related interests and concerns. This format offers us all an opportunity to talk about how to standardize what we have in common and most importantly celebrate our differences.

As practitioners, many of us work in solo practices such as I do. To have an online location where we can communicate what works for us and what does not is a wonderful thing. I would have loved to have had this type of network back when I started my practice almost 20 years ago. Even though I had a lot of help, I learned much by trial and error. Many others have this level of experience and much more. It would be great to be able to plug into their expertise and perhaps shorten the learning curve for all of us – and make it less painful.

This model is exciting. Although I have always sought an avenue of open communication among other practitioners, there was no clear path. Now this new alternative is just the beginning. It has tremendous potential for more growth, communication and clarity in our arena overall.

I welcome the opportunity to engage in this inspiring and innovative concept. I look forward to participating with all of you and wish you the best.

Blessings,

Rev. Mary Schneider
